I have always loved photography. In fact, I wanted to major in photography in college, but silly me, I thought the supplies for fashion design would be cheaper & it would be easier to find a job as a fashion designer...HA HA HA! Well, now that doesn't matter, I'm a stay at home mom & I'm dabbling in both fields. I've recently really learned what photoshop is supposed to do (i.e. beyond laying out my digiscrap pages.) Here is some of my work.
This is awesome and I'm not saying that because we're family. Being in Virginia I don't get to see PJ or Moose as much. So going through your pictures does my heart good and reminds me of watching Philip at that age. Good luck in both worlds, you seem to be having fun and of love taking pictures of Moose, who is just adorable.
Welcome to Amanda Leigh Photography, serving the greater Philadelphia area.
I am a natural light photographer. I love the amazing halo and dreamy haze you can get when you shoot into the sun. Sure, I carry a fancy shmancy flash in case it becomes necessary, but my favorite places to shoot are outside at a park, or by the light of the front window in my living room, which becomes absolutely perfect for portraits about 3 pm each day.
I love to photograph anyone and everyone, from newborn babies to teenagers, to mulitple generation family photos. I never try to rush a shoot. If a baby needs a feeding, or a child is in need of a break, we can wait. I can't capture beautiful images if the subject isn't happy!
I have always loved photographs, but when my baby girl went to Heaven in July of 2010, they became even more important to me. Even though her beautiful face is burned into my memory, there is something about being able to study her photos. Photographs aren't just pieces of paper or canvas; they are memories, and they are important!
I can bring my set up to you, or you can come to my home studio, but my favorite is shooting on location at different parks in the area with natural lighting, and with nature as the background.
